I love working with Year 5 and have taught in upper KS2 for more years than I’d like to mention!  My favourite subject is maths—there’s nothing better than seeing that moment when a tricky concept finally clicks with our pupils!

I enjoy reading and love getting fully immersed in our class novels. We will read Beetle Boy and I can't wait to hear the children’s predictions about how this mystery might unfold. I also love a good singsong! Despite not having the most angelic voice myself, teaching music and hearing the children sing together is one of my favourite parts of being a primary school teacher!

In Robin’s class, we set plenty of challenges—mainly mathematical ones—and it’s wonderful to see the children so inspired that they complete extra work at home just to make it onto the leaderboard!

We have such an exciting year to look forward to in Year 5!
