Meet Mrs Stivens – Year 2 Class Teacher

Mrs Stivens is delighted to be teaching Year 2 this year. She brings a love of English, Maths and Science to the classroom, along with a real passion for Art and Design Technology. One of her favourite moments each day is the calm, focused atmosphere that settles over the room during handwriting time—a true “zen” moment for everyone.

Fridays are extra special with our much-loved Book Club, when a child shares a favourite book from home with the class. And of course, Monday mornings always bring excitement as our class owl, Owl, returns from his weekend adventures with one of the children!

This year, Mrs Stivens is especially excited to explore the Arctic in the autumn term, prepare for our magical Christmas nativity (complete with songs and actions!), and investigate how Ravenshead and the wider community have changed over time. The class will also learn how to navigate the world using compass skills and mapwork, and discover the inspiring work of Dr Thomas Barnardo and the incredible difference he made to the lives of children in the UK.
