Hello everyone. I’m Mr Walls, and I’m really looking forward to teaching you this year. I especially enjoy Maths, Computing and History, so you’ll notice those subjects popping up a lot in our learning.

We’ve planned a busy and interesting year. We’ll start by finding out what Anglo-Saxon Britain was really like. As we get closer to Christmas, we’ll be working on a performance that we’ll share with your families. In the Spring term, we’ll look at weather and climate change, and think about how climate affects life in places like Canada and Sicily. In the summer, we’ll explore prehistoric Britain and then move on to comparing forests and rainforests.

Alongside all of this, we’ll continue developing our skills in Art, DT, Science, Computing, Music and Spanish, as well as learning some useful life skills.

We’re also hoping to include some extra experiences, such as an Anglo-Saxon Day, a Weather and Climate Investigation Day, a trip to Creswell Crags and a visit from Partake History to learn more about the Maya.

It will be a great year with lots to get stuck into!
