Mrs Truman:

I love reading books (particularly picture books) and using these as the inspiration for writing in class. I am also very artistic and love being creative, particularly during artwork where I love using bright colours.  

Mrs Sawyer:

For those of you who do not know me yet, I love many things but some of my favourites are reading, ducks and cheese. My favourite thing to do is get stuck in a really good book and let my imagination run wild in its words and creativity. You will often find me in our school library or celebrating books at our school as I am also the Reading lead at Ravenshead too.

We have a superb year planned for Year 5 this upcoming year with lots of exciting work and projects ahead. We are going to become Space experts, discovering all about different planets, key figures and historic events. Also, we will be learning all about North and Central America, as well as delving in to the historic world of the Romans and other invaders throughout history. Finally, we are going to become experts in sustainability, recycling and environmental issues. We hope you are all ready to get lost in our wonderful learning and the exciting things we have planned for Year 5. 

We cannot wait to meet you all properly; we know we are going to make an amazing team!
