Welcome to Worms (F2) class.  I'm Mrs Blakey and I am looking forward to getting to know you this year.  We have a wonderful classroom that we know you will be excited to see and help us add to. It is full of trees and plants and creatures from all over the world.

You will be pleased to know that I love being creative. We will all enjoy getting messy together, painting, sticking, using clay and dough to make all kinds of models and making muddy mixtures in our mud kitchens.

We also enjoy baking (and taste testing)! Maybe you will tell us what you like to bake at home and we can get cooking at school?!

One of our favourite things to do is to tell stories, either from books, or using our imaginations to make up stories involving different puppets and characters we might meet at school or in our environment. We will encourage you to make up your own stories as you play so that you can share them with your friends at story time.

As often as possible we will use our outdoor space to learn. We will explore our school forest and gardens, finding out about wildlife, climbing trees and making dens. Bring some waterproofs and wellies so that we can do this in any weather!

Most of all we want you to feel happy and safe coming to school and therefore will spend as much time as we can getting to know all about what you like to do, and helping you to make lots of friends.
